Betsy Malloy is a freelance photographer and travel
writer based in the San Francisco, California area.
She specializes in travel photography and
cityscapes, especially in California and Italy. However, her portfolio also
holds pictures of Spain, italy, India, England and the Western United States.
Her photographs have appeared in Porthole
Magazine, Mabuhay (Philippine Airlines), in the San Francisco
Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, Boston Herald and other
newspapers, and on the cover of Ideas on Liberty.
Betsy is a largely self-taught photographer,
but she has studied with Barbara Brundege and Bob Krist, among others.
When she's not behind the lens, Betsy is often
at her keyboard. She also writes
about California travel for About.com at
gocalifornia.about.com,
where she has posted thousands of other photographs of California and the
Western U. S.
She is also the author
and photographer for
California Mission Projects Made Easy, a series of
self-published e-books designed to help California fourth grade students
learn more about the state's Spanish missions. Her first book, The
Everything Travel Guide to Disneyland, California Adventure and Southern
California, published by Adams Media is due on bookshelves in August,
2007.
